Summertime

Well, friends, the summer is in full swing here in H-town, and this has certainly been a summer unlike any other.

First, of course, is that this is my first summer as an engaged woman. As far as planning goes, well, let's just say it's going very slowly. We have yet to make any concrete plans, other than our photography (p.s. she's AMAZING...her name is Holli Brewer. You can check out her website by clicking on her name.) The plan: do LOTS of planning in August when I finish working and Adrian is finished with the Bar. Who's excited?! I'm excited!!!!!

Second, this is the first summer that Adrian and I will have to go through Bar prep (as you know, we both attended law school, so we'll be going through this again with me next summer). He graduated in June (I cannot believe how time flies), and he is now locked in his room each day, committing to memory each and every subject tested on the Bar. Although we don't get to spend much time together, I am learning so much from this amazing man I'll be spending my life with. Aside from the great example he gives me through his incredible self-discipline and dedication, he is teaching me more and more how to trust in the Lord and how to practically seek His guidance each day. I am so thankful for his leadership in my life, and I am so excited to see how God is working in his life through this whole process.

I can't believe how fast the summer is flying by. I want to cherish every moment that I have during this time, because I know that there will be no others like it. Keep checking back. More updates to come!
