God's Country + Wedding Planning = Perfection

Well, the time has finally come. Tomorrow I will be leaving the land where the stars at night are big and bright to head to the land that can only properly be called "God's country". (After moving to Austin, TX and Chicago, IL, respectively, my dear friend Erika and I have coined that term to describe the wonderful place where we grew up--Oklahoma.) Adrian and I completed our premarital counseling this past week here in Houston, and I am so thankful we got to have that time together (check back soon for another post about that topic!). Tomorrow, however, marks the official beginning to the wedding-planning week that Adrian and I have scheduled. Get excited!

The Itinerary:
Monday--Travel to OKC
Tuesday--Engagement Photos at 6 am...yes, I said it...6 am.
Wednesday--Travel to Ponca City
Thursday--Cake Tastings & an Appointment to choose Linens, Decorations, etc.
Friday--More Cake Tasting!

My mom has been SO awesome during this whole process, sitting in line ALL night to book the venue for us (ridiculous) and setting up all our appointments. What a blessing she is! I am so excited to get back home for a little while, and I just know it's going to be a super fun week.

I'll be posting along the way so check back for updates! Until next time...

  1. I thought I was the ONLY one who called the OKC/Norman area God's Country!! I totally agree :)
