That's My King!

So, I got kinda some bad news today. No one likes getting bad news. Especially not during finals period. Or anytime really. Anyhoo, despite my natural tendency to semi-freak out/over-exaggerate, I am happy to say that God has totally used his truth to remind me that He is in control. Praise Him for that.

My good friend Anne said to me today (after our discussion about how God commands us not to be anxious or to worry and about how hard that is sometimes), "honestly, there's nothing you can do except for pray...and if you do that, you are doing everything in your power, which is somewhat fulfilling to think about." Amen, sister. It totally reminded me that I have ZERO control over this type of situation and therefore the ONLY thing I can do is pray. And if I do that, then yes, I am doing everything in my power. Such a good friend, that Anne. :)

In addition, whenever I'm having a hard time, I love listening to this awesome message by Dr. S.M. Lockridge. In this message, he speaks about the characteristics of our King. I think it's just an awesome reminder of exactly who is in control of my life. And Praise God that it's Him and not me. Whew. So for now, I'll leave you with this video.
